Ride Week makes Courchevel comeback

Ride Week makes Courchevel comeback The Columbia Ride Week returns to Courchevel ski holidays this winter, as some of the world's best freeriders try to win the popular film competition.

Last year, the inaugural Ride Week was warmly received by those on their ski holidays in Courchevel, as teams of skiers or snowboarders, complete with a cameraman, shot five-minute films of their piste manoeuvres.

Returning by popular demand on March 11th, there will be ten teams in total competing against each other to make the best mini-movie that demonstrates their skills and stunts on the slopes.

The competition will close on March 16th with a special screening of all the films, with an international judging panel selecting their favourite.

Last year's competition was won by a team from Japan, while a female-led team from Sweden came third, proving that gender doesn't matter when it comes to freestyling. He, or she, who dares wins.
