Snow Keeps Marching On

Snow Keeps Marching On

It's mid-march and it's our favourite time of season here at Iglu — there's great snowfall, plenty of sunshine and we're finally let out of the office to get out first snow fix since December. To keep us all happy Mother Nature has obliged with another week of decent snowfall throughout Europe and North America.

Italy is having another cracker, the Dolomites taking the highest snowfall with around 30cm expected. Arabba, Selva and Canazei are all looking great after last week's snow as well this week's forecast and the likes of Livigno and Kronplatz are also boasting 20cm of fresh snow this week.

After a couple of quiet weeks the snow is making its way back over to Austria. The Arlberg's St. Anton and Lech are expecting around 25cm of pow this week as are Ischgl, Obergurgl and Solden. Those Tyrolean treats are looking tempting right now.

Switzerland is again benefitting from the great weather with sunshine and snow forecast during the week. Davos and Klosters are both boasting upwards of 20cm with St. Moritz, Zermatt and Saas Fee all expecting around a 15cm top-up.

Heading to our number one destination, France, there is a light dusting falling throughout the main resorts. Val d'Isere and Tignes can look forward to around 5cm, as can Alpe d'Huez and Les Deux Alpes. Meribel, Courchevel, Les Arcs and La Plagne will get at least 2cm and will have their fingers crossed for a little more to top up their pristine mountains.

North America is following a similar pattern to recent weeks. Canada boasts 68cm in Whistler, 25cm in Kicking Horse and 22cm in Kimberley, the Unites States happily makes do with 25cm in Aspen, Steamboat, Jackson Hole and Squaw Valley.
