Snow Report | 03 Jan 2017: Huge snowfalls forecast in Austria and Switzerland

Snow Report | 03 Jan 2017: Huge snowfalls forecast in Austria and Switzerland It’s the news we’ve all been waiting for! Huge snowfalls are forecast over the next week in featured resorts across Austria and Switzerland. Some of our top selling resorts, such as St Anton, Lech, Kitzbuhel, Zell am See and Kaprun are predicted over 100 cm of snowfall in the next 7 days. The majority of the snow is forecast to fall on Wednesday 4th PM and Tuesday 10th PM.

Swiss resorts in the Graubünden ski area will heavily benefit from the new snow with resorts expecting between 60-80cm of snowfall over the next 7 days, including Laax, Davos and Klosters.

Unfortunately France will have to wait a bit longer for a large dump of snow. Currently up to 30 cm of snow is forecast over the next 9 days in some resorts. Chamonix, Flaine and Avoriaz are expecting between 20-30 cm of snow.

For the ultimate powder conditions, skiers and snowboarders should head to North America where resorts are enjoying spectacular conditions and regular powder days. Jackson Hole and Whistler have already seen over 500cm of snowfall already this winter!
