Snow Report | 04 Mar 2014

The past week has seen some excellent snowfall at all major European resorts – if there was ever a more perfect time to grab your ski gear and head to the mountains, then it’s now!

Italy are still experiencing some excellent conditions, with plenty of heavy snowfall.  Madonna di Campiglio saw a huge 98cm over the weekend whilst Cervinia saw 50cm and Arabba 30cm on Monday.  Over in France, Chamonix saw 30cm of fresh powder on Monday, Alpe d’Huez saw 25cm, Tignes 20cm and Val d’Isere 15cm, whilst Cauterets saw an awesome 50cm.  Over the past 7 days, Saas Fee in Switzerland saw 68cm, Zermatt 50cm and Verbier 48cm.  Finally, in Austria, some of the lower altitude resorts experienced bluebird conditions and the higher resorts saw plenty of snowfall.  Solden saw 20cm of snow at the weekend and St Anton 15cm.   On Monday, Obergurgl had an excellent top up of 40cm.

More snow is forecast in Europe over the next 5 days, with most resorts expecting between 1-11cm of fresh powder.
