Snow Report | 14 Oct 2015 As temperatures start to plummet in the UK and mornings start to get a little frostier, the snow is starting to regularly fall across the Alps. A proper wintry blast has set in with between 20-50 cm is snow is forecast this week across many ski areas. Some resorts have already received over 25cm so far!

Further ski areas are set to open soon: Les 2 Alpes is due to open on 24th October for half term, Kitzsteinhorn at Kaprun on 7th November and Val Thorens on 21st November.

Here's the best snowfall so far this week... 51 days to go!

France


Tignes is the only ski area in France currently open for skiing with 5 lifts open on the Grande Motte. The snow is starting to settle on the higher ski areas including Les Deux Alpes, Alpe d’Huez and Val Thorens.

Austria


Solden has already had 26cm of snowfall this week. The slopes are starting to shape up well as they host the World Cup races in just 10 days! Many skiers and snowboarders are already enjoying the early snow on the Hintertux and Stubai Glaciers.
