Snow Report | 17 Mar 2014 We’re posting to tell you the news you’ve all been waiting to hear – there’s more snow forecast across the Alps this weekend! 

Over the next 9 days, France is set to see some fantastic snowfall with Val d’Isere forecast 74cm, Tignes 70cm, Alpe d’Huez 43cm and Val Thorens 51cm.  All other French ski areas are expected to receive at least 17cm.  Piste conditions are still excellent across a selection of resorts including Alpe d’Huez, Isola 2000 and Val Thorens to name a few.

The next 9 days in Austria look promising with Ischgl expected to receive 27cm, Obergurgl 20cm, Zell am See 5cm and St Anton 30cm.  Most other Austrian resorts are predicted snow fall, ranging from light sprinklings to 30cm dumps and many currently have either good or excellent piste conditions.

In Italy, Cortina is forecast 41cm of snow over the coming week.  Cervinia will receive a huge 81cm, Sauze d’Olux 43cm, Sestriere 42cm and Cortina 41cm.  Piste conditions are listed as excellent in Livigno and Cervinia and good in all other resorts.

The best piste conditions in Switzerland this week are considered to be in the higher altitude resorts of Verbier and Zermatt.   Over the next 9 days, Saas Fee is forecast a whapping 102cm of fresh snow, Verbier 54cm, Zermatt 99cm, Crans Montana 51cm and Grimentz 67cm.  All other resorts are due at least 27cm of snowfall.
