Snow Report | 18 Jun 2016: Summer snow We’re not the only place to be experiencing a delayed summer. Ski resorts in France should be enjoying water sports on the lakes, mountain biking in the grassy hills and glorious sunshine, instead there has been unexpected snow this week which has allowed summer skiing to begin early!

Summer snow showers in France this week:

Les 2 Alpes


Professional skiers and snowboarders have been up on the Les 2 Alpes glacier this week enjoying the fresh snow. Today (Saturday 18th June) the station is officially open to the public with 40cm of fresh powder snow!

Summer skiing will be open in Les 2 Alpes until 27 August everyday from 7am to 12:30pm. This is the largest skiable glacier in Europe with runs between 2800m (foot of Signal) and up to 3600m (top of the glacier).
