Snow Report | 20 Mar 2015
Over the weekend the clouds are forecast to move in and new arrivals may be greeted to some fresh snow as they reach resort , plus even more snow is predicted to come mid-week next week.
France
Spring is in full swing in French ski resorts with beautiful sunshine dominating most of the week. Snow is still good as there are deep snow bases in the majority of resorts. There was a flutter of snow at the start of the week with Val d’Isere getting the best of the fresh snow (31cm). Bonneval-sur-Arc and Isola 2000 received 25 cm, Tignes 15 cm and Risoul 10 cm.
Austria
There’s been no fresh snow in Austria this week but snow conditions are still great and many resorts still have a upper snow base of over 200 cm, including Solden, Kaunertal, Pitztal, Kaprun, Hintertux, St Anton, Bad Gastein and Neustift.

Italy
Winter is back in Italy after a massive 140 cm of snow fell in Sauze d’Oulx at the start of the week. Cesana Torinese, Claviere and Sestriere also got in on the snow action with 120 cm falling on Monday.

Switzerland
The high Swiss ski resorts had a good amount of snowfall this week with Zermatt topping the table with a fantastic 110 cm of snow in the past 7 days. Andermatt has received 25 cm and Saas Fee had 20 cm of fresh snow.

Andorra
Andorra has had a brilliant season and snow conditions are still great even though there hasn’t been much new snow this week. Soldeu had 13 cm early in the week while Pas de la Casa, Arinsnal and Vallnord received a dusting of 5 cm.

It’s looking like we are in for some fresh snow next week! A large dump of snow at the end of the March will be fantastic for the lead up to Easter week.
