Snow Report | 23 Nov 2014 What an amazing November for snowfall, and the majority of ski resorts still haven't opened yet! After the huge snowfall last weekend resorts have fully switched to winter mode and starting to look ski ready for when they start opening over the next few weeks.

France has received a good amount of snow recently and it is already possible to ski in Tignes. With 20cm of snow this week, Val Thorens has opened this weekend and was able to open more slopes than anticipated due to the brilliant conditions.

With a 1m base up top and 40 cm at 1800m, La Clusaz is reporting the best conditions at this time of the year for 15 years.

Opening weekend in La Clusaz

With good snow in Austria many skier and snowboarders having been taking advantage of the open glacier resorts. The fantastic conditions at Stubai are attracting the likes of professional skiers and snowboarders worldwide, including Norwegian snowboarders Torstein Horgmo and Ståle Sandbech. Temperatures have started to warm up now so hopefully another dump of snow will be on its way soon.

After a drop in temperatures and successful snow making, Whistler opened early on Saturday. Skiers and snowboarders were in for a powdery treat with fresh snowfall over the weekend.

Lindsey Vonn was in resort to open Vail this weekend. 1,110 acres of terrain is now already open. With 6 inches of snowfall on Saturday night and another 4-7 inches predicted Monday; slope conditions are looking good for the week through to Thanksgiving.
