Snow Report | 23 Sep 2015: More September Snow Looks like the snow gods have answered our prayers as this morning many ski resorts in the Alps have woke up to a dusting of snow… and it’s only September!

With the horrendous rain in the UK and the flusters of snow in the Alps we can officially say summer is over, which marks one of our favourite times of the year - the countdown to ski season. With the first signs of the autumn weather appearing people are turning their heads away from the rain and looking towards a snowy winter.

Up to 50cm of snowfall has fallen in the Alps since Tuesday night, with the best of the snow hitting the Austrian glacier ski areas including Hintertux and Kitzsteinhorn.

There are already reports of over 50cm of snowfall in the higher Austrian ski areas, including Hintertux, Stubai and Solden. Take at look a the waist deep powder on Hintertux!
