Snow Report: 30 Mar 15 | 50 cm of Fresh Snow

Snow Report: 30 Mar 15 | 50 cm of Fresh Snow It’s been an incredible start to the Easter holidays in the Alps as up to 50 cm of fresh snow has fell overnight and during the day.

French ski resorts have received the best of the new snow with most resorts reporting powder conditions.

There has been a huge turn around in the past 7 days in the Alps. It’s been a very sunny week with most fresh snow just hitting Swiss and Italian ski resorts, but winter is now back! There are still clouds hovering over the mountains, particularly in Austria and even more snow is still expected to fall over the next few days. The long range 9 day forecast is predicting 250 cm in Lech and St Anton!

We’ve just been in Alpe d’Huez and even before the snowfall today, conditions were still great for end of season. Snow depth levels are still fantastic with 190 cm up top and 90 cm of snow on lower pistes. Here is our latest snow fall report from resort:

Today’s snowfall levels:

La Rosiere – 60 cm
Chamonix – 52 cm
Cervinia, Les Menuires and Val Thorens – 50 cm
La Plagne – 45 cm
Les Arcs, Les Carroz and Tignes – 40 cm
Alpe d’Huez and Val d’Isere – 35 cm
Avoriaz, Flaine and Courmayeur – 30 cm
Megeve – 32 cm
Kaprun, Solden, La Clusaz and Meribel – 20 cm
Ischgl and Val Senales – 15 cm
