After a weekend of heavy snowfall across the Alps it looks like another week of snow is upon us, with some resorts receiving as much as 19cm today alone!
Between now and the weekend Italy is leading the way in terms of European snowfall with Gressoney boasting 21cm, Cervinia 18cm and Champoluc 17cm. The Milky Way resorts of Claviere, Sestriere and Sauze d'Oulx are also set for some snow this week, with 7-10cm of fresh snowfall expected.
Switzerland is also doing okay this week with some respectful amounts of fresh snow after last week's huge dump. Zermatt & Saas Fee are set for another 20cm, with Mürren, Nendaz & St. Moritz all expecting a 5cm dusting today.
France is also enjoying some light snow this week with forecasts of 8cm in Val d'Isere, 7cm in Tignes and 5cm in Serre Chevalier, Val Thorens & La Plagne. There is also a light dusting in La Grave, Les Arcs & several other resorts.
North America is still enjoying the early La Niña weather pattern in the Pacific, with the more Westerly resorts benefitting the most. Alaska's Alyeska is benefitting from the heaviest snowfall this week, with 47cm due by the weekend and 16cm falling today. Heading further south, but still in the US, the Californian resorts of Heavenly, Northstar, Squaw Valley and Mammoth are all forecast 20-30cm of snow this week.
In Canada, Whistler is again benefitting from another early winter top-up, with 24cm expected by the weekend and Kicking Horse boasts a decent 31cm of powder, with Jasper also gaining a decent 19cm of November snow.
The snowfall for this week may be lighter than some of last week's epic amounts, but considering we are only a week into November, there are some pretty good conditions on the horizon.
