Snow Snow Snow

With the Ski Show over, the Relentless Freeze Festival this coming weekend and the clocks about to go back, the winter season is approaching fast. The good news is it's snowing throughout the Alps and North America.

European resorts such as the Three Valleys and Espace Killy have enjoyed a fresh sprinkling of snow with Meribel, La Tania and Val d'Isere topping up the fresh white powder with snow cannon's to build up a good base nice and early. There has also been a sprinkling across Les Arcs and La Plagne and with temperatures of around -10°c it is looking like a good start to the winter.

Later this week the Italian resorts of Arabba, Corvara and Selva are expecting upwards of 30cm of snow and the Austrian resorts of Hinterglemm, Zell am See and Kitzbuhel are all set to receive a good dusting.

In North America conditions are looking good with resorts in Colorado already turning on their snow cannons and Aspen, Snowmass and Beaver Creek all expecting around 20cm of fresh snow. Canada's über resort tops the big resorts snow forecast with 61cm and temperatures of -7°c.

It may only be October and the first snow report of the season may seem a little premature, but with the weather looking good for skiers and snowboarders we can't help but get excited about this coming winter here at Iglu.
