Europe's highest ski resort,
Val Thorens, is home to an excellent range of terrain and the ski possibilities are endless, it has been claimed.
Writing in the Telegraph, Matt Bar said that holidaymakers would be "hard-pushed" to run out of options on the slopes.
February is said to be the best time to visit the resort and visitors will find an excellent selection of groomed pistes, with some of the most appealing including the Cime de Caron, which rises 3,200 metres above sea level, and the "legendary Fourth Valley", which boasts enough blue and black runs to keep the whole family happy.
Mr Barr also recommends the La Masse run, in the nearby Les Menuires resort.
"It is a very underrated resort and the La Masse area above has some great runs for intermediate and expert skiers. This vast, powdery playground is easy to get to and often uncrowded," Mr Barr noted.
Meanwhile, merinet.com reported earlier this week that Val Thorens is set to host a teen activity week next month.
Taking place from February 14th to 20th, the event will feature everything from Big Air competitions to graffiti art demonstrations.
