Two Ski Shows Now Combine As One

Two Ski Shows Now Combine As One

When it was announced that InTheSnow Live and VOS Media’s Ski and Snowboard Show North were scheduled on the same day, there was speculation as to how it would work. We can now reveal a resolution has been made.

InTheSnow Live replaces a show that has taken place at the NEC for the last 19 years. VOS Media’s Ski and Snowboard Show North is part of the VOS Media portfolio that will be celebraying 40 years by bringing the London based show to the North of England.

It was not known that both events had planned the same date and when InTheSnow Live announced their date, VOS were quick to respond with the news that they had planned the same date!

Surprisingly exhibitor numbers for both shows were extremely positive and people were starting to come to terms with both shows being on the same day. However, a dilemma occurred when many exhibitors did not have the resources to exhibit at both shows. As a result of this both companies had to come together and spent a lot of time discussing how this could be resolved.

After much discussion a conclusion was made that there should be one ski show in the North of England this October. It has been agreed that the show will be in Manchester and go under the VOS Media brand. Although it will now be one event, both companies are said to be working closely together to support those who already booked to go to NEC.

Dominic Killinger, Show Director at InTheSnow Live said, "Our show was formed to enable the long established show at the NEC to continue. At that time there was no knowledge of a new show starting in Manchester. However, we are very pleased that two competing companies in the market can sit down and agree what's best for the industry as a whole and work towards a common goal of attracting new skiers to a stronger market."

Damian Norman, Managing Director at VOS Media said, "It’s clear that the industry cannot withstand two shows in one weekend however they are placed geographically and it’s testament to both companies’ passion for the ski industry that we have been able to agree a way forward to the benefit of the industry. We welcome the publishing arm of Dominic's business as a ski media partner across both our ski shows and very much look forward to a stronger working relationship into the future."

With both events coming together it is set to be one huge success. Tickets are available now for the Ski and Snowboard Show Mnachester that will be on 25 – 27 October.
