US skiing heroes honoured
Among those recognised at the event were Cary Adgate, who won the US Junior National Championship at the age of 17, became Ski Racing's Master Racer of the Year in 2005 and is presently an ambassador for snowsports.
He joined the likes of Nelson Carmichael, who won 12 World Cup events and six US championships, as well as Liz McIntyre - who won an Olympic silver medal in 1994 and achieved 18 World Cup top ten finishes.
The US National Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame and Museum can be found in the city of Ishpeming, Michigan.
More than 350 individuals have been honoured by the organisation and the museum exhibits a number of trophies, as well as items of clothing and equipment.
