Val d’Isere and Tignes open today!
The Espace Killy ski area (Tignes & Val d’Isere) is one of the top ski regions in the world. It consists of 300km of pistes, 79 lifts, two glaciers, 1930m vertical drop, two snowparks, one SuperPipe,
From this Saturday, all the Val d’Isère sectors will be open: Pissaillas/Iseran, Solaise, Bellevarde and La Daille. You can ski to and from the Front de Neige in the middle of the village.
Opening morning in Val d'Isere
Skiers can now discover the new Ski Tranquille ‘quiet’ ski area on the top of Solaise. The whole mountain has been regraded here over the summer to provide a new peaceful nursery area for beginners and low intermediates, away from busy ‘through’ traffic. It’s easily reached by brand new galleried magic carpet lifts.

The Grande Motte glacier in Tignes has been open for a while now to offer skiing and snowboarding at high altitude over the warmer months.From Saturday 28th November The link will be available with Tovière gondola & Tufs chair lifts. Use Tommeuses chair lift to come back to Tignes.
These are the chairlifts that will be open from this weekend:
Grande Motte area:
- Cable car / access to Glacier piste
- Funicular / access to dahu, Face, Double M pistes
- Lanches chair lift / access to Double M piste
- Vanoise chair lift / access to Rimaye, Dahu, Face pistes
Tovière area:
- Bollin chair lift / access to Bollin piste
- Tufs chair lift / access Henri, Creux pistes
- Tommeuses chair lift / access to Creux, Edelweiss, Rocs, Crêtes, Violettes pistes
- Tovière gondola / access to Henri, Creux pistes
Palafour area:
- Palafour chair lift/ access to Anémone, Lys pistes
- Grand Huit chair lift / access to Perce-neige piste
Palet area:
- Tichot chair lift / access to Carline piste
- Grattalu chair lift / access to Grattalu piste
- Merles chair lift / access to Lac, Prémou pistes
Check out what’s new in Tignes: the new Le Rosset beginner area in Tignes-Le-Lac .The chairlift has been realigned to allow for the Jardin de Neige with two new baby slopes and longer covered magic carpet.
