The mountainous ski resort town of Whistler in Canada is set to play host to a major annual ski festival next spring.
In April 2008, thousands of ski enthusiasts - and snowboarding fans - will head to Canada for a
ski holiday in Whistler that combines great snow with incredible apres ski at the TELUS World Ski and Snowboard Festival.
Last year, dozens of artists played on the open air stage - with past musicians appearing at the festival including the Black Eyed Peas.
"You are invited to the biggest annual celebration of music, arts, sports and culture on the planet. For ten days and ten nights, Whistler turns up the volume with fifty live concerts, major pro-ski and snowboard comps, legendary arts events, endless nightlife and the best spring skiing and riding in the world," the festival website enthuses.
The event also has a real communal feel to it, with attendees urged to bring friends and relatives along - making it great for those on
family ski holidays.
Ski holidays in Whistler are ever popular with ski fans and the resort is annually voted as a top ten ski destination in North America.
