Snow Conditions in Norway (29 January 2015)
Excellent skiing is currently available in Norway following another good dump of fresh snow this week. Trysil (135/135cm) picked up 25cm on Thursday 29th January, providing some great powder skiing across the mountain. 15cm was also recorded at Lillehammer (95/150cm) and with 49 out of 51 lifts open across the city’s five ski areas. More snow is forecast over the weekend, with 15-30cm expected quite widely.
Sweden has also picked up some new snow, improving conditions at our two featured resorts. Are (40/50cm) could do with a big fall still, but 7cm in the past three days has helped freshen up the piste surface. Over at Salen (75/100cm), 21cm was picked up in the same time period so some good snow conditions can be found across the mountain. More snow is forecast with between 20 and 40cm expected at both resorts.
