Overall

The apartments are very good, spacious and well equipped. We ate out every day so we never tested the catering facilities. Nice spa, big property with a lot of apartments spread between several blocks. Reception staff are excellent. Ski hire on-site makes it convenient if a little busy when you arrive. Two minor negatives; the showers had a very poor water flow and finding your way around the site and to the piste really needs better instructions. In resort reps were fantastic, helpful and incredibly courteous. Plagne Soleil is a great place to be, Monica's bar and restaurant are excellent. We've used other companies and stayed in other properties in Plagne Soleil, the better quality properties are easy to spot. Highly recommend Iglu and Les Granges.

Just returned from a weeks self catering at La Plagne Soleil. Resort was excellent for families and quiet in the evening. The property was ski in ski out if you were a reasonable skier. The accommodation and facilities were excellent. We had a 2 bed apartment which was spacious, clean and had good facilities. The spa and pool were amazing and we used them every afternoon after skiing. ESF were very good with our children and husbands ski lessons. However the ski hire shops were a rip off in La Plagne Soleil and we got a very good deal in La Plagne Centre with Ski Republic so worth the hassle of going there as saved over 100 euros. The negatives were the transfer to resort. This took nearly 4 hours from Geneva and was too long. We were the last drop off in La Plagne and we were driving around La Plagne for nearly an hour. With young children that was hard but transfer back was much better with a 3 hour time which was what we were expecting. Also the check in policy in the appartments was 5pm. This is far too late after a long journey. Most hotels I stay in are between 2pm and 4pm at the very latest. It is also very complicated to find your chalet and they offered no help in showing you to your room or help with luggage. As this was a 4 star property I would expect help in this matter. Otherwise it was an excellent holiday and we would like to return to La Plagne next Easter. Please email me with any special offers as we are on a budget. Also do you do any flights to Chambery or Grenoble which would make the transfer easier? Or if you don't could we book accommodation through you and would you know any reasonable companies that offer this transfer as 3 hours is a long time in a coach. Also not that we would have needed it but our rep never contacted us during the holiday and in an emergency we would not have known who to contact. Luckily the transfer rep had called me after he dropped us off about resort info and said our rep would be in touch but he never did. Our rep Alex who we never met finally texted us our departure time 2pm on Friday for Saturday departure. This was too late and we were slightly concerned as we hadn't heard from him how we were going to get back to the airport so I rang the transfer rep as had his number before I got Alex's text, who was helpful.
