Known more as 'The Italian Secret' Cervinia is one of the more popular Ski resorts for the Italians however in recent years it has seen more British families and Russians make the trip to the top of Mont Cervino. The village is very quaint with many restaurants and shops. I can highly recommend the restaurant 'Jour et Nuit' especially if you love your good quality red meat and fine wines. The Village has 2 ski lifts and a junior nursery slope along with a Gondala to the main Ski area of Plain Maison where you have access to the entire mountain. From Cervinia you can ski over the mountain to Zermatt or across to Valtournenche. All in all I believe that this is a superb resort for the family and beginner/intermediate skier. There are some challenging black runs in the resort however there are many more on the run down to Zermatt. Well worth a visit, and a guaranteed snow resort!

Very snow sure with easy access to a big ski area including Zermatt. Together with the friendly locals, inspiring ski school and Italian food, it made for a good holiday.

The Dragon is an excellent bar with a lively atmosphere. There is also a well designed nightclub called the White Rabbit. Get a very good hot chocolate at the Black Hole coffee shop. There is also a bowling alley and an ice rink right next to the Heineken Bar.

More advanced skiers can go over to Zermatt. For snowboarders there are quite a few parks. The glacier has very wide long runs with good snow due the height. The resort is very scenic and really beautiful with the Mattehorn hovering over it.

The resort gets really good snow and with the area lift pass you can ski/board into Switzerland. The top of Zermat is really high and has long blue runs down the glacier. Very good bars and extremely friendly locals. The food is typically Italian and relatively well priced for a resort.
