Excellent location for the slopes, only a few metres downhill to the lifts and in good snow conditions you can practically ski to the back of the hotel. The bar and dining room were bright, cosy and welcoming - especially when the fire was lit! The service was excellent and all the staff were really helpful and friendly, especially the manager - Vicky. Rooms were fairly basic but had everything we needed and the shower had good water pressure, great after a hard day on the slopes! Food was first class, although if you didn't like the menu there were no alternative options. All in all, pretty good value for money and we would definately recommend it to family and friends - couples and groups alike.

GREAT ..... 02-2010 and 02-2011 and again in 02-2012 09/12/2011
My wife and I returned to Coq de Bruyere in 2011 after a wonderful holiday in 2010 and have booked again this year, for the third time. That should tell anyone how pleased we have been with all aspects of our holiday. The location in the village is fantastic with the ability to ski back to within about fifty paces (yes 50 PACES) of the front door.

The food has always been excellent and no one could expect a more welcoming or helpful staff. OK, the hotel is getting a little jaded but plenty of hot water, clean and great views from many rooms. Heated ski/boot store ,rental skis delivered to and collected from hotel ... what more could one wish for! Oh yes, the skiing!!! Incredibly extensive with great variety of runs, piste maintenance and patrolling second to none, lift queues minimal and breathtaking scenery. Courchevel is expensive but if you spend wisely no more than anywhere else. We consider this to be a bargain.
