The Coq du Bruyure was a fantastic choice, location, location, location! The Croisette lifts are literally a 2 minute walk with a hire shop on the corner. The rooms were comfortable and the food and wine was good, nightlife on your doorstep, what more could you want?.

I stayed at the Coq de Bruyere in the first week of the season and had a great time. The staff were very friendly and the food was fantastic. Location can't really be beaten especially for the price we paid. You literally only have a minute's walk to get to the main piste and close to bars and restaurants. Had a great time!

Prior to my holiday in Courchevel, I read some reports on the Hotel Coq de Bruyere. These did, I must admit, raise some concens. However, I am pleased to say that the issues raised by previous clients were completely unfounded. Bear in mind this is Courchevel 1850, one of the worlds top resorts and the hotel is within litterally 3 mins walk from the main lift area. I found the staff to be superb, nothing was too much trouble, the hotel was clean and tidy, my room was cleaned every day (apart from Thursday ) and the food was more than adequate. I will be very happy to return, and will almost certainly do so.

Coq de Bruyere is in an ideal position, close to pistes and 10 minutes walk from amazing shops. Food was fantastic but bedrooms very basic. Courchevel has endless skiing opportunities and the snow is well topped up and groomed. I've visited over 20 ski resorts and Courchevel has by far the best variety and terrain. There's little Apre-ski to speak of in 1850 and eating is very expensive, but you're in Courchevel so you can't complain. Ski / board over to the airport to watch the plains take off and land on the dodgy runway, it amazing. Mountain cafes are expensive but very cosy and have amazing views, also very quiet due to the cost. And finally I'll confirm the urban myth, the pavements are heated!
