Chalet Inoko, Val d'Isere 09/04/2011
Firstly it must be pointed out that for me the quality of skiing is the most important requirement not the hotel or chalet.

For me, and I know there are thousands more that would back me up if i say that, Val d'Isere is most probably the best ski resort in the world. It has everything, ski variety, amazing mountain restaurants and off course the world famous La Folie Douce! Snow conditions are amongst the best in the Alps and the Espace Killy ski area boasts two glacier areas with the Grande Motte (in Tignes, 3456m) and the Val glacier (3197m). In the resort there are plenty of attractions, an ice rink, cinema (which shows films in English), swimming pool, ice race circuit, many night clubs and trendy bars and restaurants. To sum up this resort in one word — perfect. There is also a free bus (however there is a Tourist tax of 7€ which goes towards transport, piste maintenance and resort maintenance). Going back to snow conditions, the piste maintenance teams in Espace Killy are the best in the world, if it has not snowed for a while do not worry the maintenance teams make the conditions unbelievable.

This is the second time that I have been to Val d'Isere, the first I actually worked for the season. The chalet itself was okay and okay is the best I can do. Basic is the word to describe it. The food was good and the wine again was okay. The chalet is small so you have to be sociable, but this probably was the main plus point, it’s always nice to meet the first grandmother to cross Antarctica! It was cheap though, which is good as with skiing in the most beautiful ski area in the world, prices are very high everywhere, but trust me the money for all conditions are worth it. I would much rather spend an extra £150 and know that I will have great skiing and great weather rather than worrying about if there is going to be any snow,

One final point, if you want to rent any equipment I recommend Eskiador, great guys, Bob is the main man to speak to, they have great equipment and are really friendly and speak good English too.

I hope that this review is useful to you, good luck and I hope you enjoy Espace Killy.
