Chalet Hotel Oliver La Rosier February 27- March 5th 2016 - 21/03/2016
Overall

Our very first foray into a Ski Chalet holiday. Really enjoyed the Resort. Thought the staff at Ch. Oliver kind and courteous. nothing too much trouble. The standard of cleanliness -double tops. The meals fantastic , as were the afternoon cakes. All managed by the delightful Rachel. Our Ingham's Rep , Mike was amazing. Again, nothing too much trouble. Sorted us out with a super Skiing Instructor - Julien from Evo 2 who, after working really hard with us managed to keep us, absolute beginners ( one in our mid-seventies, the other , me aged 69 /Oldies ) upright , going forwards and .....turning! So all in all the ambience of Ch.Oliver lent itself to a great holiday. Thank you so much to everybody , including the guests who made it all such fun. I have just returned from the most amazing holiday ever, staying in chalet oliver. The chalet staff were all fantastic and made me very welcome from the moment i arrived, the food was incredible,a amenu was put out everyday at breakfast so you could see what was in store for the evening, and the chef even changed a few things if anyone mentioned they didnt really like something. There was more than enough to eat ..in fact often too much, but when skiing that cant be a bad thing. The rooms were a decent size, very warm and cleaned daily if anything needs changing a few extra sofas in the living area as not enough when chalet is full. The slopes were a short walk away,or the chalet ran a shuttle bus daily to and from or you could use the village bus, plenty of bars and resaturants in town and everyone very friendly.the skiing was incredible,i can highly recommend skiing over to italy as the snow there was a lot better later in the week, although there was often bad visibility..but you cant beat talian coffee!!! Would definetely go to this resort and chalet oliver again..thankyou alex for the recomendation and all your help in booking ,especially the chambery transfer

We have just returned from a weeks skiing in La Rosiere, staying in Chalet Oliver. The conditions were amazing, blue skies and sunshine every day, although the pistes in La Rosiere suffered from their southerly aspect, we skied over to Italy (La Thuile) every day and the pistes were much crisper (and restaurants cheaper!). Chalet staff were fabulous and the food was most definitely the best we have experienced. All in all, one of the best skiing holidays. We are planning to return next year!

Review Chalet Oliver La Rosiere 6th March 2011 - 08/04/2011
Overall

The chalet staff were excelent, they got everyone involved, and the arranged events were good fun and great value for money. They were much better than the usual "reps" you some times encounter on package holidays. They offered a ski guiding service at no extra cost which was great for seeing what the resort had to offer. La Rosiere is a small village but the night life is varied and has something for most people. The resort its self was sunny all week at the start of march and the higher runs held out for most of the week. The Italian side has slightly better conditions. This resort has a lot more skiers than snowboarders compared to its neighbouring resorts, probably due to the number of button lifts, there are 2 long ones to get over to Italy. So if you are a border expect a bit of flack from those skier types. If the conditions are good the off piste looked excellent.
