Those in the know do St Moritz. 21/11/2012
Your impression of the piste map may put you off going to St Moritz, but take a second look as St Moritz has loads to offer. The resort sits at 1850 meters right next to a lake which creates an amazing back drop for skiing in this resort. The best thing about St Moritz is no queuing! There are so many speedy chair lifts to take you up so when everyone else is wining and dining you'll have the pistes to yourself. It's a popular cross country skiing destinations, when you see the lake you'll be tempted to give it a go. There are 2 main ski areas to get your heart going and 1 spot (45mins) covered on the lift pass for a day trip. Club Med have a restaurant on the mountain where your wrist band will work for a lunchtime feed... they alternate which areas they serve lunch throughout the week, their reception with help you plan. Club Med is a great base, one of the affordable places to stay. If you have a healthy budget then you can live like James Bond in one of the fancy hotel which casinos nearby. Not a lively place but a classy place... stick it on your list

Thumbs up CLub Med 06/04/2013
Had a fantastic holiday in Jan 13. . Great food, compact but suitable rooms, social life and of course marvellous skiing with a fun group and a well organised ski instructor who was a blast. We'll certainly return. John

This Club Med is fantastic value. They have 2 exclusive restaurants on Corvatsch and Corviglia so you never have to open your wallet during the day. It is ideally situated near the Corviglia cable car and you can ski back to within 200m from Corvatsch. It's worth upgrading to a view room. Mine had a view across the lake to Town and at night it was lit up beautifully. Overall it was great way to do an epic resort that is usually way too expensive for those who don't run hedge funds.

1st class skiing in St Moritz backed up with Club Meds All inclusive package makes a fab holiday. With different areas to visit there's a wide choice of skiing from cross country skiing to advanced off piste. Big bonus is that Club Med have 2 mountain restaurants on the slope, they open different days but means that your all inclusive package really is everything. St Moritz isn't great for night life although we managed to find a great small bar called Stubli, a cute bar with live music, lots of fun!

Review 31/01/2010
I got back on 30th Jan 2010 and went with my wife and a friend. I have never written a review before but after visiting club med Roi Soleil I just had to tell everyone how good this hotel and resort is. So where do I start. We paid about £950 each at the time, and there was no single supplement for our mate. This was probably the best value skiing holiday we have ever had. The hotel manager (Patrick) was always visible and did everything from greet you in the morning to the entertainment in the evening. I think he must have been a twin or cloned because he was everywhere you looked, he truly showed his staff how he led by example. He was always smiling, happy and approachable. It's funny about people’s perception as one bloke told me is all he does is swan around, but I couldn't agree less. Skiing was amazing and we had a really good Italian instructor called Tiziano. We were in a group of 8-10 people from lots of different countries but everyone spoke perfect English. We were in level 5 out of 6 which meant we did mostly reds and blacks. The friend we went with said he learnt a lot and he had been skiing for 30 years. The skiing was fantastic. There are three different regions and you had to get the club med coach to two of the resorts Corvatsch and Diavolezza but both are only a 10 minute drive. Corviglia is the closest area and is about a 10 minute walk to the cable car. The good news is the hotel lays on a mini bus on the way back. This place is not for beginners, the reds are pretty steep compared to other resorts (other than Chamonix). Now for a summary: GOOD POINTS: Food was excellent for an all inclusive hotel - Rooms were a good size with very comfortable beds - Unlimited free drinks and food including booze - Two mountain restaurants where you can get free lunch (unlimited hot buffet and wine) at Corviglia & Corvatsch - Manager and staff friendly and very attentive - Skiing tuition was excellent – Clean. BAD POINTS: Not ski in or out - Water would only come out of the hand shower extension rather than the main head but it was usable and we didn’t complain so can’t comment on how quickly it may have been fixed - No free Wi-fi in room (But that is being very picky) This was the first club med I have visited I am going to Cervinia in 7 weeks which will have a lot to live up to. I would recommend this resort and hotel to everyone and will be going back in the future. Club med rocks and I will find it hard to book a skiing holiday outside of club med from now on due to value for money and ease of holiday. We didn’t spend a Swiss franc on this holiday except to buy some photos which the mad photographer from the hotel took of us skiing and believe me they were worth it. This was a good job as we heard stories of £20 a beer in other hotels (although that was a very exclusive hotel). If you are thinking about going to this hotel, BOOK IT NOW!
