Hotel Dahu, Courchevel 13/01/2015
I can't fault it even though the snow wasn't ideal. The hotel was really central next to the Forum. The staff couldn't have been better - they were polite, helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was really excellent and having the teas, coffee and chocolate available all day was fantastic. I went on my own and I didn't eat one meal alone. There was a social table which was great, but had I wanted to eat alone, it wasn't a problem. I would go there again.

Hotel Dahu, Courchevel 1850 01/04/2014
I know the skiing conditions were fantastic last week so I am bound to have enjoyed the holiday, but I have to say that Chalet Dahu and the staff were absolutely excellent. Yes, the hotel is not the Ritz but it was a great base to sleep, eat well and slope off onto the slopes. Such a reasonable price too. It was particularly good to be able to make teas, herbal teas, coffees whenever we liked in the hotel. Many other French hotels do not have this facility and one ends up having to buy yet another kettle to use in the room! Thank you to everyone involved!

Après Ski Bars in Courchevel 1850:

The Moment the lifts shut at around 17:00 hours each day, Courchevel's Après ski bars open their doors and the party begins. Starting Bar Kalico, located on the slopes within the La Croisette shopping centre above, this lunch time delight turns into a fully functioning Après bar. After the round of toffee vodka it all kicks off!.

Next in Line would be Bar Le Jump, an all rounder English bar which opens at 12 most days and is agreat place to have a not so quiet pint of Guinness. The delight of the resort must be the make shift bar which opens at 17:30 inside the Spyder Shop in La Croisette serves amazing rum. You will find a mixture of seasonaires and ski instructors in here who tend to stay until closing 1am.

Great snow (Dec 13th-16th). Views amazing. Stayed at Hotel Olympique, Staff REALLY friendly. Well worth staying in the hotel bar for drinks as ALOT cheaper than surrounding bars. Rooms basic but clean. Shop around different restaurants for meal prices-can vary alot. Definately visit again and stay at hotel Olympique.

Fantastic resort! A proper playground for ski/snowboard addicts with a vast variety of runs to explore. Recommend the 3 Valleys Pass that allows you to nip over into Meribel or Val Thorens, if you feel like going a bit further a field, not that Courchevel doesn't have enough runs to keep you entertained.

Best value restaurant for lunch is the one right at the top of the Vizelle lift. Great spag bol and quite cheap! (More than can be said for anywhere else in Courchevel 1850). The Cap Horn is a lovely and very posh place to have lunch on the piste, with wonderful views.
