Cipos bar a must 08/04/2011
We decided to go quite late in the season as we found a really good deal.

The Gran Baita apartments were basic but comfortable, although they don't have kettles in them so take a travel one.

You are paying very little for these so don't expect too much or you will be disappointed but they are more than adequate for the week you will be there. It is approximately an eight min walk to the slopes, although you can catch the bus just up the road, though to be honest it is quicker to walk than wait for it.

You can hire a locker for your skis and they are based in the underground carpark as you walk to the slopes. It costs €10 for a week.

The best bar is Cipos and i really recommend the drink called "kia". tip though, order your food at the bar and not at your table as you will be charged cover charge this way.

The slopes were good but by mid afternoon the snow was too slushy to ski without being hard on your legs. If going to Jefferau, which is the other ski ares you can visit, and you are a novice, don't go there until around 11.30am as the snow can be very hard until then in spring.

Would I go back? Possibly, but definately earlier in the season as many of the slopes weren't open and the snow conditions were not great.
