We stayed in the Berghof last week and i dont have a bad word to say about it. Our room was 305, on the top floor - very spacious with views of the mountains out of all the windows! The selection of food was great, with buffet breakfast and dinner with a choice of main courses from a menu too.. we were having four courses including a plate of about 8 desserts a night - good job we burnt the calories on the mountain! The location is great, right in the town centre with the ski bus stop right outside if you are feeling lazy! As a couple we didnt really have too much of an issue with the spa.. it was quite liberating and a bit of a giggle.. i pretty much wore my towel and people were wearing their robes. The wifi was 15Euros for the week and it was a bit up and down.. but it was perfectly suitable for checking/sending emails and watching uk TV! The ski room was fine with heated boot racks (you arent allowed to take boards/boots into your rooms) Staff all spoke good english and were friendly and helpful. On the last day our transfer back to the airport was at 0630 and the hotel had prepared lunchbags for us all to take with us, i thought this was such a nice touch and the perfect end to a perfect holiday!

We had a great ski week despite less than ideal skiing conditions - very warm weather to start with, a day of slush and then two days of snowstorms! The Hintertux Glacier is very much worth the 35 minute bus ride, we ended up going there 3/6 days for much better snow. The Hotel Berghof was very good value too for all the perks - we enjoyed the sauna and spa area regularly after a long day on the slopes and the four course dinner with delicious Austrian food and very friendly staff. The Ingham's reps were very friendly and we enjoyed the ski away day with them in Zell am Ziller.

Mayrhofen itself was very pretty town too, with everything easily accessible, and beautiful to walk around at night.

The travel was fine too, flights were at a humane time avoiding very early starts and the transfer was well organised.

We really liked the Hotel Berghof. The staff were all friendly and helpful, especially reception. The rooms were great and had everything we needed. The hotel was very clean. The food was the best! Huge selection at the buffet breakfast, great buffet salads and dessert and dinner and choice of 3 mains. Only thing I would say is that we would have preferred not to have to buy water with dinner.

Hotel was a great location. 10 minutes walk to the Penken gondola, but 2 bus stops right outside the hotel and a 2 minute walk to the train station which was very convenient. Also close to shops and bars etc.

Thought the resort was great, we loved the huge ski area and managed to explore every area that the lift pass covered.
