Tatty rooms & dreadful food -

I stayed at the Eidelweiss last March on a ski safari with Inghams. Loved the skiing side of things - a great opportunity to try 4 areas in 6 days. The rooms however were tatty. Threadbare, dirty carpet and cracked tiles in the bathroom. Re: housekeeping - just a sheet (no mattress protector) on the beds. The food was dire. This was a common comment. There are 2 dining rooms - one for UK package guests and one for hotel guests. The spa facilities are BRILLIANT! I wrote to Inghams. They were not interested....

Just returned from an enjoyable week at this hotel. Nice small town/village. Very good bus services to Innsbruck etc. Hotel very friendly, we had a spacious room with a patio. Would liked to have seen more snow falling!

Just returned from a week at Hotel Edelwiess, the hotel is reasonable standard but my one criticism is that the ski bus does not stop outside, it is at least 400 yds away, a long way (for me) in ski boots. Heated lockers can be hired for 10 Euros for the week at the bottom of Gotzens gondola. Frequent ski buses to Mutters (5 Mins) and Axam Lizum (30MIns) there is limited skiing at Gotzens but a bit more at Mutters.
