Review 10/04/2008
A great resort for all types of skiers and snowboarders. The ski school was very friendly and fun and there’s Loads of variety in slopes, paths and pistes. This is a really good choice for families as it has lots of children’s facilities for all ages. Everything is in one place and I would certainly return and recommend it to anyone wanting excellent snow conditions. Our hotel the Aarlberg was superb, staff could not have been more helpful and happy. There are great views from the rooms onto the mountains and it is located in a quiet part of the village.

A good resort for beginners/intermediates and more experienced skiers alike. We stayed on the Route du Petit Plan in Chalet Les Lauzieres (capacity of 14 people) which was very convenient with a chair lift directly up to a green run into the main resort (also a good green run back with a recently opened bar on the way). As everyone says, it's a "backwards" resort with all the easier runs nearer the top. Best skiing is down to La Toura from the Glacier as there are some wonderful blues. The Glacier is mad and very windy but definitely worth going up there. The cable cars take about 30 mins to get you there so be prepared to stand in your ski boots for a while! I Would go back as it was lots of fun and some good skiing and boarding to be had.

Brilliant place. I’ve been there for 3 years in a row. The mountain is reverse gradient, so beginners can get to the peak and have lots of runs and come back down on the gondola.

Hi we stayed at the Hotel Aarlborg in January. It had snowed the week before we arrives so the pistes were not in bad condition , the weather at the start of the week was warm so the snow got soft in the afternoon but by the end of the week it was cold -20. I would say that it is a good resort for all standards but most of the slopes are steep so some beginners could be caught out, the greens in resort are really good for beginners with lots of open space and some free drag lifts if you just want to try skiing for the first time.

The only other down side is that you can only ski back to resort on three blacks runs or a sketchy green run.

All in all we had a good time.

I only returned from Les Deux Alps last week and had a really great time. Considering the snow covering throughout the Alps this season I was a little apprehensive about skiing in April but the snow and resort did not disappoint. The Glacier's pistes had been kept in great condition along with many of the slopes just below. If you want something a bit more exciting there a big snow park with something for beginners to experts....the best half pipe I've ridden for a long time! You can also finish your day off on the mountain with a few beers at Pano bar where the après ski kicks off. So much so that someone dived from a huge balcony to the crowd below...brilliant! There are plenty more bars and clubs in town with Polar bar and Smithy's standing out as great places to go. For something more relaxed there is a big swimming pool and fitness centre along with ice skating rink and cafes. A resort not to be missed!
