Review 25/04/2008
The Skiing is superb especially in the Mont Vallon and Val Thorens areas. We had Good lifts and no queues on our trip during April 2008. Rond Point is excellent for an end of day's ski.

There is excellent skiing to be had in the Courchevel area or over the hill in the Belleville valley. The best run in Meribel is the Combe du Vallon. Pop over the mountain and enjoy the near empty pistes above St Martin, or the great snow in Val Thorens.

Underselling itself with the name Three Valleys, Meribel sits happily in the middle of around five skiable valleys, linking up with Courcheval and Val Thorens. This massive area provides a variety of outstanding off and on-piste experiences. Meribel is exactly as you’d want an Alpine village to look, but without the top-end price tag of some of it's neighbours. As one of the best après-ski bars you're ever likely to see, you must visit Rond-Point as you chase the sun off the mountain. This fantastic venue serves as a good indication of the quality of nightlife in this friendly village.

Went to Meribel in Feb 2005. Very impressive lift & chair-lift system, and minimal waiting times at lift stations. Lots of blue & red slopes for those who are pretty confident, but not really a place for the beginner as some slopes quite steep. You can ski to Courchevel 1850 which is fun. Apres ski great, & half an hour on the slopes in the morning clears the hangovers away!! Have a great time.

In Meribel Rond Point bar has some great afternoon apres ski. Cactus bar is also very easy to get to as you walk off the slopes and it is right there, it is very popular for lunch and also after the days skiing. Dicks Bar is great night club.
