Five of us stayed at the Residence Le Belmont from 5th Feb - 12th Feb 2011.

For a self catered apartment, the quality was good. The apartment was clean, tidy, reasonably modern and included all the necessary facilities (towels. bedding, kitchenware etc). The apartment was also in a reasonably good location, fairly close to the centre of Les Arc 1800 resort.

The apartment was a room in a hotel like complex, with good facilities such as boot room and board storage space down stairs.

The hotel was reasonably quiet (althought it may have just been the week we were there).

The only real down side to the apartment was its size. It would have been comfortable for a 4 person party, but was a little crowed for 5 people.

March 2011 was our first time to Les Arcs and we arrived with low expectations due to the high temperatures. Conditions were certainly slushy by the end of each day but we still managed to ride all the way back to the apartment. The ski area is large and varied and the lift lines were short to non-existent. Despite the springtime conditions we loved the skiing and still had plenty to explore at the end of our week. Our sons loved the Apocalypse snow park, our 8-year-old hurling himself off the ramp onto the air bag with particular glee.

Our apartment in the Pierre et Vacances Belmont was functional but comfortable and only a couple of minutes' walk from the main lift and from the retail area of 1800. Can't comment on the nightlife as our children are too young for that to be an option without babysitting that we didn't have the energy or inclination to arrange.

In summary, I would strongly recommend Les Arcs 1800 and the Belmont apartments to families looking for a fun, convenient ski holiday.
