Romanian Ski Resorts
The main ski resort in Romania is Poiana Brasov. The village is purpose built, set in beautiful surroundings, and still retains many of its quirky cultural differences.
Ski Areas
The ski terrain is great for intermediate and beginner skiers. The lift system is compact with the nursery slopes located in the village close to the hotels. The recent addition of the eight seater gondola has accelerated Poiana Brasov into the 21st Century. If you are wanting to take your children for the first time, this is an ideal destination to see how they like it. The ski school has a superb reputation, an ideal way to begin your skiing experience.
Accommodation
The hotels all offer good value for money, clean and modern living accommodation. The service is always very good and you are always greeted with a warm friendly reception. Many of the hotels offer spa facilities for you to enjoy after a hard day on the slopes.
Apres Ski and Activities for Non Skiers
If you visit Poiana Brasov as a non-skier or simply want to mix a few days skiing with other activities, you will be spoilt for choice of things to see and do. Scenic sleigh rides, excursions to the infamous Dracula's Castle and walks through the pine forests are all very popular during the day time whilst the evenings are fun filled with entertaining cabarets, glittering discos and traditional Romanian folk nights serving delicious food and wine whilst enjoying the local gypsy music
