Typical catered chalet holidays include a cooked breakfast, afternoon tea when you get in from the slopes and three course evening meals with wine. All the guests eat together and your ski chalet host prepares all your meals. Ski chalet hosts are also a great source of knowledge regarding your chosen ski resort and ski area, and may sometimes ski with guests.

Family Ski Chalet Holidays

Some chalets are designated as family ski chalets and offer childcare on site or nearby with English speaking nannies. Designated family chalets are ideal for parents who want minimum hassle and total peace of mind during their ski holiday. There are also designated non-smoking chalets.

The French Alps have the largest number of ski chalets, the popular resorts of Meribel, Courchevel, Tignes, Val D’Isere and Chamonix all have a variety of chalets ranging in size and price. You can get some chalets that sleep as few as 6 people but on average they will sleep between 10 – 16 people.

Although France has the most ski chalets there are also chalets in Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Andorra, Norway, Canada and USA.
