A week's holiday in a comfortable, cosy chalet is something that we all dream of doing all year round. But which resort to choose and where to stay is the question that we spend most of our waking hours considering! If you are looking for a charming, traditional resort with breathtaking views then a chalet in Courmayeur should be high up on your list. With awesome views over the mighty Mont Blanc, the skiing and snowboarding appeals to all abilities with even the option to experience different ski domaines on the 'Away Day Programme'. After an energising day on the slopes, the resort centre is packed full of welcoming bistrots and bars as well as interesting shops and a fascinating medieval corner.
Chalet Hotel Cristallo is run immaculately and functions like a large chalet with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere and typical wholesome chalet style food, but with some of the benefits that maybe only a larger hotel would normally provide. Perfectly situated, just off the pedestrianised Via Roma, you also have easy access to all that the lively centre has to offer as well as being just a short 5 minute walk to the main ski lifts, where you can leave your skis and boots.
The chalet itself is packed full of character. Stone floors covered with rugs, wood panelled walls and many interesting antiques and paintings decorate the living spaces. You can choose to enjoy your evening meal in the company of others in the vibrant dining room or take a smaller table just to relax with your own party. For total relaxation in the evening, you also have a sauna and a jacuzzi at your disposal.
The bedrooms are well appointed and very comfortable with good ensuite facilities. Children are welcomed to the property during school holidays and the resort's ice rink and swimming pool keep them entertained before you go out to sample the table dancing at 'Poppy's Disco Pub' or enjoy some cocktails in front of the log fire at the 'Guides Bar'.
