Silvretta Montafon Ski Resort

With a variety of ski routes, excellent conditions and 140km of pistes, the area has become a popular spot for wintersports enthusiasts wanting a relaxing break away from it all.

It’s also accommodating for inexperienced skiers, with plenty of tutors at hand to deliver training and improve the confidence of travellers just starting to get into the sport.

The resort is open from December to April every year and can be relied upon for a generous helping of snow, creating excellent conditions for visitors. Its 1,730m altitude and stunning winter climate make it one of Austria's best up-and-coming resorts.

Skiing in Silvretta Montafon

With a wide variety of terrain, there are plenty of runs for visitors to try regardless of whether they are experts, intermediates or beginners. Along with 140km of pistes, there is a snowpark for freestylers and the longest valley descent in Vorarlberg for those looking for a big challenge!

In addition, there are black pistes with inclines of up to 81 per cent, along with a number of timed race tracks for travellers wishing to go full throttle.

There are ten lodges spread across the resort, with many restaurants and bars situated down the valley. Whether you want to experience a large restaurant or get a bit to eat in one of the cosy, small huts, there is plenty of choice here in Silvretta Montafon.

As well as this, there are some excellent places where tourists can relax after riding the slopes. Gaschurn is one of the top party destinations in the area and is an amazing place to visit for people wanting to let their hair down.
