Residence Refuge du Golf Reviews
Refuge du Golf gives good access to some wonderful skiing / Boarding slopes of Flaine, Les Carroz and Samoens. There are far more skiers than borders at the moment. The apartments are beautiful, well designed comfortable and warm. A regular bus drives the 3km to Flaine centre every 10/15 mins so carrying equipment is reduced to just 100m. The week we stayed suffered from freezing fog filling the Flaine bowl, I don't know how susceptible the area is to this. On a sunny day, the views over to Mount Blanc etc are stunning. The draw back to this facility is if you want access to the town's night-life, as the buses stop at 6.30 pm and Refuge du Golf seems to be the only part of the Flaine area not to provide an evening shuttle service to and from the town. There are no taxi's in the town. Thankfully the Rep's came to our rescue. However, if you like just the apartment, the bar/restaurant and the local Hameau facility, it's great.
