Chalet Vison, Les Arcs 2000
The Altitude Résidence was built in an attractive traditional style with skiers’ complete convenience and comfort in mind. A short buttonlift just 100m from the main entrance gives skiers direct access onto the pistes and wider lift system, and at the end of the day, you can ski back to within just a short 1-minute walk from the Chalet Vison.
The Altitude Résidence offers our guests their own indoor swimming-pool, shared sauna, ski lockers, skiroom, underground parking and lifts to the chalet apartments, plus the Altitude also has a convenient bar to quench your après-ski thirst!
Our Chalet Vison apartment is run separately by your own dedicated Ski Chalet Host, and are comfortably fitted and furnished, with open-plan living/dining areas, all with a crackling log fire to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, a balcony, and also a TV. Additionally this season all our chalets will have free Wifi access.
The Ski Nursery rooms are on the ground floor of the Altitude Résidence, whilst our Snow Club and Cocoa Club are based in the Chalet de L’Ours, adjacent to the Altitude. Children in our child care programme will use Chalets McKinley, Chalet Machu Picchu and Chalet Olympus at lunchtime.

Meals - Chalet Vison, Les Arcs 2000
The chalet host will have a day off during the course of the week, during which you will be required to eat out.
Breakfast: A good breakfast is essential on a ski holiday, so we provide a choice of cereals or porridge, fruit juices, plentiful tea and coffee, local bread (and croissants or ‘pains au chocolat’ in France), cold meats, cheeses and preserves, and boiled eggs. This is normally presented buffet-style for you to help yourself. Additionally we offer a daily hot dish, such as scrambled eggs with mushrooms or home-made pancakes.
Afternoon tea: The traditional ‘welcome home’ after a day on the slopes will be laid out for you by your chalet host, ready for your return. A good cup of tea or coffee is the perfect accompaniment to a delicious slice of freshly home-baked cake.
Children’s High Tea: High Tea provides children under 13 with a healthy menu, but tailored more towards children’s tastes than our main adult dinner, and puréed food is also always available for infants on request. Parents are asked to accompany their children under 36 months at High Tea please, whilst children from 3-12 years will be supervised.
Adult Dinner: four-course dinners for adults (and children 13 and over only) start with canapés and an apéritif, followed by an appetiser, main course and dessert. The meal is accompanied by a choice of wines, unlimited during the meal service, with freshly chilled water also always available, and followed by complimentary coffee or tea with chocolates to round off your evening.
Special Diets: Vegetarian options are always on ‘Culinary Choice’ menu in Chalet Hotels, and are available in chalets if you advise us in advance. Any dietary requirements must be advised to us at the time of booking in order for us to be fully prepared.
Family Dining: For those families who prefer to eat together with their younger children, we offer our Family Dining option in any chalet of up to 12 beds, if you book the whole chalet for your own party, subject to chalet suitability. Everyone then eats together in the evening, starting at 6.30-7.00pm. The meals are based on our adult menus, with some flexibility for younger taste buds, although not a complete ‘à la carte’ choice!
