There are excellent beginner slopes near the resort and on the glacier, which is a great place to learn and enjoy the superb mountain views. Intermediates have variety while experts should test their ability on the off piste runs of legendary 'La Grave' when the conditions are right. For snowboarders, in addition to wide-open spaces, there is a challenging boarder cross, fun park and half pipe, and for stout-hearted skiers, a mile-long couloir to jump into.

The Mont-de-Lans glacier, near the top of the main mountain, is claimed by the tourist office to be the largest skiable glacier in Europe. Beginners on ski holidays in Les Deux Alpes are especially well catered for, with many gentle runs above the village, and the glacier is a haven, with it’s wide open pistes.

The Les Deux Alpes snowpark is one of the best in Europe. The snowpark team is one of the most experienced in Europe so they can create a world-class snowpark during both the winter and summer months. The 'Freestyle Land' snowpark includes:

Lift passes in Les Deux Alpes

There are 3 different age groups for a lift pass in Les Deux Alpes. A 6 day adult (13-64 years) lift pass costs €237, a child (5-12 years) lift pass costs €190 and a senior (65-71 years) lift pass costs €214.

Lift passes are free for children under 5 and seniors over 72.

An extension can be purchased for access to La Grave. A 2-5 days pass is +€30 and a 6 days and more is + €22.
