Chalet Pyrene Reviews
We stayed in the Pyrene at the end of January and overall enjoyed our stay. The food and staff in particular were very good. Our room would best be described as compact and it was just as well we had a mezzanine because bag storage would have been difficult otherwise. I wouldn't have wanted to sleep up there though. There wasn't a coat hook to be seen anywhere, so if your gear gets wet you could have a problem. All the floors are tiled, with no rugs or mats and they were very cold, so cold that condensation formed on the en-suite floor (hence the title of this review). The boot and ski storage is in the entrance lobby which is again very cold, so take the inner boots into your room at night. Ideally the garage could be used as a boot room as it's at road level but the owners car is in there along with all the provisions. The chalet location is described in Inghams brochure as 3 minutes (300m)from the nearest lift. The reality is a good ten minutes walking in ski boots and you have to negotiate the main road (expect some traffic noise in some rooms).
