Overall

I have just come back from staying in this chalet. The staff were fantasic. Our room was nice with a nice view from the balcony. It was possible to ski back to the chalet for good skiiers, cant wait to book again. Nick

A great base for Val D'Isere! - 27/31/2012
Overall

Arriving at the chalet, I was pleasantly suprised by the location - just a 5 minute stroll to either the centre of Val, or to the lifts. The chalet is opposite the famous 'millionaires' row in Val D'Isere, and it is actually possible to ski back to the property with a bit of off-piste route picking. There is a nice bar just around the corner, "Fall-Line" which was great for an early evening tipple! Inside the twin room was a comfortable size, and upgrading to the room with a balcony made the room nice and airy - the views out towards the Solaise are lovely. Food wise, the menu was perfectly adequate (the chef was really keen to accommodate any dietary needs etc) and the wine was definitely more palatable than I have had in other chalets!!! The staff are all friendly and welcoming, and did a good job of looking after us & keeping the rooms tidy etc. Would recommend the packed lunches that they offered for 5 euros - Val D'Isere mountain restaurants can be pricey, so it was nice to have the option. As a word of caution, do not buy drinks from the restaurant down in Tignes La Breviere (at the foot of the piste, has lots of deck chairs etc outside) - we got really stung and paid 32 euros just for 4 coca-cola's... I think if you're looking for a good priced accommodation in Val'D you can't go wrong - it ticked all the boxes, smiles all round. We had a wonderful holiday and can't thank the hosts enough for all their hard work - would definitely go back.
