Verbier Ski Resort

The charming, traditional resort of Verbier offers a skier's paradise. Fantastic snow sure conditions due to its south western facing bowl, high altitude resort and immense ski area. If you have not experienced the vast ski area the 'Four Valleys', Verbier makes the perfect base. With luxury hotels and chalets Verbier offers a formidable holiday experience on and off the piste. Talking of 'off- piste,' Verbier offers one of the world’s best off piste. Take advantage of the many mountain guides in the resort to discover the amazing powder in Tortin, Mont Gélé, Chassoure plus many ungroomed former black pistes.

Despite Verbier’s immense ski area, the town offers all you could want with the regular ski shops but also if you are looking for a luxurious break check out their many boutiques and art galleries or indulge in one of the spas on offers.

Skiing in Verbier

The Mont Gélé is a hit with beginners and intermediates, although this area can get busy. If you want to improve than we recommend the Tortin (lies at 2050m) which can be quieter and offers some fantastic red runs. On the opposite side of the valley in the Bruson area is another excellent area for intermediate skiers, fewer crowds and due to its fantastic north east facing means all that lovely snow and powder is retained for longer.

For the experience skier head to Val de Bagnes; the black runs in Mont Fort and Combatzeline. It is worth checking the forcast ahead for these black runs as visibility can be an issue however on a blue bird day everyone will want to hit these areas so worth setting an early alarm to avoid the queues.

Looking to brush up your skills then the snow park at La Chaux (2260m) is the place for you and has all the rails, jumps and corners you need. Verbier is infamous for its freeriding and is host to the Verbier Xtreme free ride contest (the last stop in the Freeride World Tour). Also the renowned Verbier Ride freeskiing competition takes place in Verbier. All this freestyle activity and action is why Verbier is home to some of the world’s top skiers to enjoy the steep slopes and freestyle skiing all winter long.
