Ski Resorts in Slovenia
A beautiful lakeside resort in close proximity to three different ski centres, is a fantastic option for skiers and snowboarders looking for somewhere with runs to suit all abilities. The lift pass for this resort covers Kobla, Vogel and Straza, where there are English-speaking tutors to help visitors develop their skills.
The resort offers access to 55 miles of piste across four primary ski areas. There are also two ski slopes measured at around three-quarters of a mile that are ideal for beginners.
Kranjska Gora is Slovenia’s leading World Cup resort, where there are runs to suit all experience levels. Visitors can choose between 18 slopes of different difficulties and there is even the option to take on the World Cup slalom run. The resort annually hosts the Vitranc Cup and is well-regarded as a winter sports town.
The area is close to the Sava Dolinka River in the Upper Carniola region of north-western Slovenia, which is near to the Austrian and Italian borders.

The ski season in Slovenia generally runs from November through to February and the region enjoys considerable snowfall to ensure excellent terrain. There are also snow-making facilities available for when there is not enough snow on the surface.

Around Lake Bled, there is a range of outstanding restaurants, including the Cesta Svobode 12, where visitors can enjoy a fine range of local cuisine alongside excellent wine and desserts.
For visitors to Kranjska Gora, there are 20 restaurants for visitors to choose from, many of which are in the resort’s hotels. These range from mouth-watering Italian pizzerias to local delicacies such as veal stew. One of the top eateries in the resort is Gostlina Pri Martinu, where tourists can enjoy local meals in a cosy tavern environment.
