Lovely family-run hotel close to St. Anton, which embodies the traditional warmth, friendliness, atmosphere and good food for which the Austrian Tyrol is justly famous.
The Lavenar Hotel is set in a wonderful location just above the village of Pettneu, the next-door village to St. Anton, and only 8 minutes' ride away on the regular free ski-bus. Attractively refurbished and upgraded in recent seasons, the Lavenar now boasts an indoor pool and sauna to go with its comfortably furnished bedrooms - a choice of single, twin triple and 4-bed rooms, all of which have their own private en suite facilities.
Good food is served in the dining-room with its superb views over the village, the bar provides a warm welcome after skiing and in the evenings, and there is a big sun-terrace at the front of the hotel.
Access to the skiing is both simple and fun! The hotel's own piste-buggy takes you just down the hill to join the regular free ski-bus service, which runs every 15/20 minutes (8.00am- 6.00pm) to St. Anton's main Nasserein gondola stop, for immediate swift access onto the huge Arlberg ski area, with its 280kms of pistes. Ski back to the same point at the end of each day, and you can leave your hired skis and boots at our partner ski shop at the foot of the Nasserein gondola completely free of charge, and either head straight 'home' on the ski-bus, or enjoy St. Anton's renowned après-ski scene for an hour or two before heading back to the Lavenar for dinner.
Three evenings' entertainment are also included by the Windisch family, as a 'welcome.
