Murren offers 53km
of downhill pistes in the Murren-Schilthorn area, with the other 160km
in the Jungfrau area easily accessible. Beginners
will find the nursery slopes close to the village centre whilst Intermediates
should head towards Wengen for the most enjoyable runs. Experts will enjoy the steep pistes and there is a good selection of off-piste plus heli-skiing for the more adventurous. Between Lauterbrunnen and Stechelberg there is an 11km cross-country trail
and a park below Schiltgrat. Families
will enjoy the sledging runs and there is a selection of winter walking trails
for non-skiers to explore.
The revolving restaurant atop the Schilthorn mountain
as featured in the 6th James Bond film
, "On Her Majesty’s Secret Service" is a must see whilst in Murren, Switzerland.
