Chalet Davos, Val D'Isere
Davos is part of Chalets Suisses, a small private hamlet designed and built on the secluded sun-drenched knoll of Le Crêt, one of the earliest and most charismatic enclaves of Val d’Isère. Our four stone and slate chalets seek to fuse the ambiance of an old stone village and traditional Alpine decor with contemporary cutting edge design and absolute comfort. To the smooth stone fireplaces, weathered oak floors and seasoned timbers, we have added a veneer of cool contemporary styling including designer bathrooms, discreet state-of-the-art lighting, wireless internet access and DVD plasma screens with cinema surround sound.
Each chalet is dressed individually with scant regard for cost using only antique furniture, the finest fabrics, hand made squashy sofas, goose down duvets and original art. Davos boasts a glorious sun baked terrace, a breathtaking master bedroom suite with private terrace and a sunken hot tub with spectacular views.
Chauffeured vehicle service to and from the piste daily until 8pm.

Good food is an essential ingredient of every chalet party. The welcoming glass of bubbly and appetising canapés on your first evening sets the tone for a week of tempting cuisine.
Your day starts with a choice of tea or coffee at your bedside (we can leave it outside the door if you prefer). This is followed by a hearty breakfast, including French bacon, tomatoes and a choice of eggs or, if you prefer, porridge; all served with fruit juice, cereals, yoghurt, freshly baked bread, croissants, jams, and a selection of teas and coffee. Once a week your chalet host offers an option of fresh pancakes.
While you are out skiing your host will have laid out afternoon tea for your return – diet-defying cakes, bread, jam, tea, coffee or hot chocolate. First one home puts the kettle on!
Dinner comprises a three-course meal followed by a cheese course, coffee and mints, and all complemented by a selection of extremely palatable French wines. The quality of our wine is of a much superior standard to that which you might have come to expect on a chalet holiday and we have a choice of house reds and whites to accompany your evening meal. In the unlikely event that our house wine proves not to be to your liking then additional choices, including champagne and port, are available from our cellar for a small supplement.
Chalet Hosts: As well as possessing a flair for entertaining and a genuine love of food, our chalet hosts are friendly, unflappable and exceptionally hard working. Having completed a rigorous pre-season training course, each host is encouraged to manage their chalet as if it were their own home. We find this engenders a commitment to your enjoyment and well-being which makes the atmosphere in our chalets quite different. Our chalet hosts have one day a week off. On this day breakfast will be laid out and fresh bread delivered to your chalet. Your host will be delighted to recommend and book a local restaurant for your evening meal.
