Chalet Jasmine - Val D'Isere, France
Chalets Jasmine, Juniper ( ID: 25954) and Jacaranda (ID: 25956) are spread across the top two floors of the delightfully retro three-star Résidence le Grizny. Jasmine has three bedrooms and two bathrooms giving off the first floor corridor (our chalet Jacaranda is at the end of the same corridor).
The building is unusually spacious and solid, having been built before Val d’Isère’s narrow valley started running out of space. And its position is really good: the village centre is four minutes’ walk away, the ski buses stop nearby, and it is possible to ski home. Although the front door is conveniently close to the main road, Jasmine is further along the building, towards the silent forests on the slopes of Solaise. The sitting-dining room has the same sunny view. In the evening, once the curtains are drawn, you'll have to make do with the company of your five best friends. If all else fails, the chalet has WiFi.
Please note: Charter flights from Gatwick to Grenoble includes ski carriage (except 8 December 2013 and 27 April 2014.

Meals - Chalet Jasmine, Val D'Isere
We start with a proper breakfast: fruit juice, porridge, cereals, bacon, eggs, baguettes straight from the famous local bakery, a croissant or pain au chocolat if you like, yogurt, Twinings tea and fresh coffee from Italian espresso pots (with Nescafé and bizarre infusions for those who prefer them).
Afternoon tea & cake: on your return from the slopes to find bread and jam, a freshly-baked cake, hot chocolate etc. left out for you.
Most people are very happy with our normal formula of canapés followed by dinner with a three-course, fixed-menu, dinner-party-style meal. The cuisine is largely French, though with a fusion of other influences – what Londoners call Modern British. With dinner, we serve free unlimited quantities of a selection of very drinkable French AOC wines and vins de pays. This is, unfortunately, only with dinner, not breakfast, and we stop serving the wine when the coffee appears.
Please note: The chalet host will have a day off during the course of the week, during which you will be required to eat out.
