Chalet Lores, Val D'Isere
Chalet Lorés started life as a traditional Alpine restaurant and bar and it is fair to say that over the years this property has gained cult status, The French know and love it for featuring in a 1979 cult comedy classic film 'Les Bronzés font du ski’. Whilst in recent years, as a chalet is has become a firm favourite with British skiers and still retains all the best features of a charming local haunt. The owners of the Chalet Lorés are extremely proud of their property and its heritage and have lovingly renovated it over the years, always in keeping with the quirky 70’s eccentricity it has become known for.
All the bedrooms are of a good size and all (bar one) boast recently renovated, brightly coloured bathrooms. The sociable open-plan lounge, bar and dining room is warm and inviting with generous use of wood throughout. After a hard day on the slopes you can relax around the sunken open fireplace or perch at the bar and regale new found friends with tales of your prowess on the slopes.
