The Farmhouse, Val D'Isere
Already featured within the pages of 'Tatler' and rated as one of the top six Alpine chalets by the 'Evening Standard'...
The Farmhouse is considered one of the smartest renovations yet completed in Val d’Isère. From Tatler to the Telegraph, journalists have been unanimous in their praise for this chalet, with the result that it is now one of the most sought after properties in the Alps. You might appreciate why when you consider that the architect’s canvas was a two hundred year old farmhouse with metre thick walls next to the church in the centre of Val d’Isère.
Absolutely no expense has been spared in retaining the original stone and timber features whilst designing a contemporary home with every possible amenity. The renovation has been equipped to a specification and includes wide-screen DVD television with digital surround sound and small but important touches such as heated ski boots in the morning.

Meals - The Farmhouse, Val D'Isere
Good food is an essential ingredient of every chalet party. The welcoming glass of bubbly and appetising canapés on your first evening sets the tone for a week of tempting cuisine.
Your day starts with a choice of tea or coffee at your bedside (we can leave it outside the door if you prefer). This is followed by a hearty breakfast, including French bacon, tomatoes and a choice of eggs or, if you prefer, porridge; all served with fruit juice, cereals, yoghurt, freshly baked bread, croissants, jams, and a selection of teas and coffee. Once a week your chalet host offers an option of fresh pancakes.
While you are out skiing your host will have laid out afternoon tea for your return – diet-defying cakes, bread, jam, tea, coffee or hot chocolate. First one home puts the kettle on!
Dinner comprises a three-course meal followed by a cheese course, coffee and mints, and all complemented by a selection of extremely palatable French wines. The quality of our wine is of a much superior standard to that which you might have come to expect on a chalet holiday and we have a choice of house reds and whites to accompany your evening meal. In the unlikely event that our house wine proves not to be to your liking then additional choices, including champagne and port, are available from our cellar for a small supplement.
Chalet Hosts: As well as possessing a flair for entertaining and a genuine love of food, our chalet hosts are friendly, unflappable and exceptionally hard working. Having completed a rigorous pre-season training course, each host is encouraged to manage their chalet as if it were their own home. We find this engenders a commitment to your enjoyment and well-being which makes the atmosphere in our chalets quite different. Our chalet hosts have one day a week off. On this day breakfast will be laid out and fresh bread delivered to your chalet. Your host will be delighted to recommend and book a local restaurant for your evening meal.
